It might come from the magazine+bolt combination, when bolt travels faster it detaches the new round from the magazine with more similar results, with a slow carry it will have difference in results. I can shoot all day at the range but I sometimes encounter problems when "feeling out" the bolt while carrying it down. I have to say that sometimes I have that same issue with case getting caught to barrel mouth, mostly with Geco which I have now been shooting (cheap warm-up ammo, still good for training sight management, recoil, and trigger pulling) I am not quite sure where the point for me is but ALL of the feeding problems I encounter happen when I slide the bolt abnormally. I had the shop contact B&A about the issue for me when I encountered this problem. Well good thing to hear it is working again. This would explain quite a lot.Ĭlick to expand.Ok. Looking at the picture above, the earlier B&A might have a more gradual S bend. I carefully compared the Sako and B&A and the S bends in exactly the same place. To be fair, the Quad trigger was really good once I adjusted it down.Īs for the triggers, the safety lever does an "S" bend. Maybe I'll put it back in, but at the moment this trigger is fantastic. I took out the medium B&A spring and put in the heavier one. It takes a split second but it would certainly be nice if that wasn't necessary. So I ended up pulling the bolt fully back, halfway forward, back a bit again (this is where the bullet straightens out), and fully forward. Also I had issues doing a standard bolt cycle - the next round would get caught on the shoulder as it enters the chamber. First and only attempt on that target averaged. I shot a few groups then I did the forum "17 HMR Challenge" at 100y. Maybe someone here has experience from fixing this?Ĭlick to expand.I got it out today, and it's pretty darned accurate. I read the previous Quad/Finnfire BA trigger thread "through" but did not find what is the actual cause why safety gets stuck. Especially since I am having my stock bedded soon so any changes needed should be made now. It is a blast to shoot with.īut I cannot use the safety lever anymore and I would like to get it back working again.
#BIX N ANDY SERIES#
We are proud to announce the Dakota Series Trigger from Bixn.

It works flawlessly and did not expect it to have that big of a difference to my group size. Bixn Andy has widely been regarded as one of the greatest competition triggers in the world. This is because the Bix'n Andy trigger is positioned towards back! I actually had problem with good trigger finger positioning with the GRS's quite big grip (for me with my short fingers) and this helped the issue to the point of being a no problem anymore. I carved it, maybe 0.08" or 2mm more space for the trigger blade with a knife.

The lower had to be filed from behind the trigger. Opening the Quad's M6 screw that holds the trigger to the action took an enormous amount of power. The second position however, is a favourite among the rimfire shooting community.I bought one few weeks ago so it looks like they still have not modified it 100% Quad compatible. All triggers are set for standard centerfire benchrest applications. The upgraded sear insert installed into the top of the trigger allows for some minor trigger timing adjustments due to the fact that firing pin fall changes depending on the direction the insert is facing when installed. This Bix’N Andy Competition Trigger is a direct “drop in” for the Remington Model 700 Action and comes with installation directions, adjustment tools and a small assortment of spares. It is a patented design manufactured in Austria with the latest high-tech equipment giving you the finest trigger available in rifle shooting today. This Bix’N Andy trigger has been made to the highest standards and we trust it will be the best trigger you have ever owned. Also, the let-off is so crisp and consistent it never fails to amaze shooters who have become accustomed to the world’s next leading brands like the Jewell. The consistency of the Bix’N Andy trigger break is within 0.03 ounce! The upward force on the top sear is the lowest in the industry. Introducing the pinnacle in precision shooting triggers! The Bix’n Andy Remington 700 trigger uses a unique ball bearing mechanism that allows for trigger pull weight adjustments 1 ounce (30 grams) to 25 ounces (700 grams).
